Growing Roots Homeschooling: Study Model & Benefits
A Positive Learning Environment
Growing Roots Homeschooling now empowers you to educate your child in the safety of your own home environment, without the child having to endure unnecessary stress, allowing for more quality time with your family!
You will now ensure that your child receives one-on-one contact for each lesson, thereby receiving the personal attention and love that only a parent can provide. You will be able to ensure that your child can read properly and understand the meaning of words. You will also ensure that your child is able to understand Mathematics.
Simplified Progression and Inclusive Education
To successfully complete the grades is less complicated, as each term is immediately assessed when completed; the learner then continues with the work for the following term.
Learners with learning difficulties, those who need a longer time span to complete work, or learners who are hard of hearing will definitely benefit from utilising homeschooling. For learners with an approved concession for dyscalculia (exemption from Mathematics), a seventh subject must be chosen in its place. We can help you with a concession application before you enrol with us.
Our Curriculum and Reach
Growing Roots Homeschooling (Pty) Ltd. is a registered South African Homeschooling Service Provider. We provide a CAPS-based curriculum (National Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement) with subjects in English and Afrikaans for Grade R to Grade 9. Our Study Bundles can easily be delivered throughout South Africa and to expats overseas.
Our CAPS-based curriculum complies with the requirements of the South African Department of Education. There will be no need to "roll over" the curriculum. This curriculum provides a learner with the opportunity to register with universities and colleges in South Africa.
The Growing Roots Study Model
Our Study Model provides each learner with all necessary books upon registration. Under normal circumstances, learners will complete each term and then continue with the following term without delay.
Our all-inclusive Study Bundles provide you with academic information, study material, tests and answers, assessments, detailed planned lessons, and comprehensive informative guidelines in our teacher’s guides and learner's books.
Assessment and Reporting
After completing and conducting your evaluation of the work for each term, the books are sent to us to be formally assessed. Assessments are found in the Learner's Books, and answers are provided in the Teacher's Guides.
When the subjects for a specific term have been successfully completed and assessed, a Progress Report is provided for each individual term, followed by the Year-end Report that reflects the results of all four terms. Assessment of each subject is conducted by us to ensure that an acceptable standard is maintained throughout the year. You will never have to buy any other external assessment programme.

Homeschooling does not take up a vast amount of your time, as every parent must take time out to help their child with schoolwork anyway. We can help you compile a daily or weekly programme to ensure the learner does not fall behind academically.
The CAPS curriculum utilised by Growing Roots Homeschooling remains relevant from Grade R to Grade 12. You will never have to change curricula in order to register for the National Senior Certificate (NSC). The CAPS curriculum paves the way for registration at a university or college after the NSC has been acquired, provided the learner meets the specific institutional requirements.
