How Our Home Education Programme Works
Growing Roots Homeschooling (Pty) Ltd. is a registered South African Homeschooling Service Provider. We are not affiliated with any other online home education platforms or state-owned schools.
We provide a CAPS-based curriculum with subjects available in both Afrikaans and English for learners from Grade R to Grade 9. Our purpose is to provide high-quality books, information, and formal assessments for CAPS subjects to parents who wish to follow their own programme—especially for children who cannot follow a rigid schooling routine or timetable.
Enrolment and Study Material
When a learner enrols at Growing Roots Homeschooling, all study material, exercise books, documentation, and information are provided for either one of the two semesters or for the full year (which consists of four terms).
Structured Term Work:
The content in the Learner’s Books and Teacher's Guides is divided into four terms. We believe our model is much less complicated because, under normal circumstances, a learner can complete the subjects for a specific term, after which the work is immediately and formally assessed by us.
Immediate Assessment:
Once a term is assessed, a Progress Report is issued. That specific term is then fully completed and does not need to be revisited. This allows each parent to follow their own programme or roster depending on their specific circumstances.
Seamless Progression:
Although the subjects remain the same throughout, work is completed term-by-term, allowing a learner to move seamlessly into the following term.

Once-off Payment:
Receive a 6% discount when paying for the full year’s Study Bundle upfront.
Per Semester:
A deposit for the semester followed by five monthly instalments.
